Widening Horizons in Philosophical Theology is a five-year project to advance philosophical theology in the broadly continental tradition.

It is hosted by the School of Divinity of the University of St Andrews, and generously supported by the Templeton Religion Trust.

The planning phase, New Directions in Philosophical Theology, ran from September 2019 to August 2021.

The main phase, Widening Horizons in Philosophical Theology, runs from September 2021 to August 2024. During this phase, twelve research teams around the world are conducting conducting and sharing research in areas that are of strategic importance for the future of philosophical theology in the broadly continental tradition. The projects, which were chosen by international competition, are introduced on the projects page.
