Expanding philosophical theology with a £2m grant from Templeton Religion Trust
We are delighted to announce that a grant of £2m from the Templeton Religion Trust will fund an ambitious programme setting new directions for research in philosophical theology in the broadly continental tradition, building on the work begun in New Directions in Philosophical Theology.
The project aims to strengthen the constructive and discovery-oriented potential of philosophical theology in the continental tradition by funding up to twelve one- to two-year research projects at various institutions, coordinated by a programme of research and events at St Andrews. The Call for Proposals for subsidiary projects, which should address areas of strategic attention outlined in the project’s vision statement, is now open.
Applications for large projects of up to £160,000 or small projects of up to £60,000, running for up to two years from 2021 (or early 2022), are warmly invited. The call closes on 31 May 2021.
The project will be directed by Prof. Judith Wolfe, co-directed by Dr King-Ho Leung, and benefit from project management and support by Mr Sterling Yates and Ms Dorothy Campbell. Meet the project team.
